Dr. Helbling is residency trained in comparative medicine, and holds an MS in Microbiology along with an MBA in Applied Finance. He has served as a clinical veterinarian in numerous Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies.

He has expertise in animal models, IACUC protocols, and regulatory compliance. He is a member of the Society of Quality Assurance (SQA), the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine, and the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science. His responsibilities at PEAK include establishing collaborative partnerships with study sponsors and matching consultants with projects that favor their strengths.
